Tinder’s Owner Match Group Pledges to Quit Russia by June 30

Tinder is officially swiping left on the whole country of Russia.

Match Group, which owns Tinder, says that the company will quit Russia by June 30, citing a need to protect human rights. Match also owns Hinge and PlentyofFish.

In an annual impact report published this week, Match said, “We are committed to protecting human rights. Our bands are taking steps to restrict access to their services in Russia and will complete their withdrawal from the Russian market by June 30, 2023.”

Match joins other digital service companies that have withdrawn from Russia following the country’s invasion of Ukraine, including Netflix and Spotify.
