Russia Claims it Stopped Ukrainian Drone Attack Aimed at Assassinating Vladimir Putin

Russia says that they managed to an avert an attack by a pair of drones that was focused on assassinating President Vladimir Putin.

Although the drones attempted to assault Putin’s residence in Moscow, he was not home at the time.

Without providing evidence, Russian officials blamed Ukraine and promised unspecified “retaliatory measures.”

The drones were disabled and crashed in the Kremlin without causing any damage or injuries, according to Russian press.

Despite the bloodless outcome, the Kremlin called the assault “an attempt on the life of the president” and “reserves the right to take retaliatory measures when and where it considers necessary.”

Kiev has not taken responsibility, and the US is scrambling to find out exactly what happened.
