Frank Ocean Cancels Appearance for Coachella Weekend 2 After Weekend 1 Flop

Frank Ocean has pulled out of his planned appearances for Coachella Weekend 2 due to an injury.

A representative for Ocean confirmed in a statement that “Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella. After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1, Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity.”

The statement added, “On doctor’s advice, [Ocean] is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.”

Frank Ocean himself added to the statement, “It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon.”

The announcement comes after fans were understandably disappointed that Ocean’s weekend 1 performance was short and did not include the star actually coming up on stage to perform.

But by contrast, Blink 182 outperformed even the best expectations – sounding just as good as they did during their heyday for the first OG lineup reunion on stage since 2015.
