30 Drones Attack Moscow – Two Buildings Struck and Citizens Evacuated

In a concerning incident, multiple reports indicate that between 25 to 32 drones launched an attack on Moscow during the night of May 29-30. The drones targeted the Russian capital, causing damage to at least two multi-story residential buildings. However, it is worth noting that most of the drones were reportedly intercepted and shot down by Russian air defense forces before they could reach their intended targets.

The information comes from various sources, including RIA Novosti, a Kremlin-aligned Russian news outlet; the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on Telegram; Meduza, an independent Russian news outlet based in Latvia; and Russia’s Defense Ministry on Telegram.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has confirmed that they are investigating the incidents involving the crashing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) into buildings in Moscow. They have stated that several buildings in Moscow suffered damage due to the UAVs crashing into them. Additionally, the Investigative Committee revealed that Russian air defense forces successfully shot down a number of unmanned aerial vehicles as they approached the city.

The precise motive behind the drone attack remains unclear at this point, and investigations are ongoing to determine the origin and purpose of the drones. The incident has raised concerns about the potential risks associated with unmanned aerial vehicles and the need for enhanced security measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
