Two Killed and 28 Injured in Baltimore Block Party Mass Shooting

In the early hours of Sunday morning, a tragic mass shooting unfolded at a block party in Baltimore’s Brooklyn neighborhood, leaving at least two people dead and 28 others injured.

The Baltimore Police Department confirmed with FACTZ that the incident occurred shortly after midnight, with three individuals sustaining critical injuries. Authorities held a news conference several hours later, revealing that the wounded victims, spanning various ages and conditions, were transported to hospitals across the region. Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.

As of the latest update, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Investigators are currently reviewing video surveillance footage in an effort to identify the suspect or suspects involved. The Baltimore Police Department has urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the homicide unit or provide anonymous tips to Metro Crime Stoppers.

According to Baltimore police officers, multiple calls reporting the shooting were received at around 12:35 a.m. Tragically, an 18-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 20-year-old man succumbed to his injuries later at a local hospital. Of the wounded victims, nine were transported from the scene, while the remaining 20 individuals sought treatment at various hospitals in the area.

During a press briefing, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott expressed determination in bringing the responsible individuals to justice and extended condolences to the affected community. The identities of the mass shooting victims have not yet been disclosed.
