The Associated Press Unveiled its Preseason College Football All-America Team

Featuring a roster of standout college football players set to make their mark in the upcoming season. Notable names like Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams from USC, Ohio State receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., and Michigan running back Blake Corum were among the returning first-team selections.

The lineup also includes Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt and Miami safety Kamren Kinchens, who built upon their impressive performances from the previous year to secure a spot on the preseason All-American roster.

Leading the pack with four selections, two-time defending national champion Georgia claimed the top spot on the first team. Noteworthy contributors from the team include tight end Brock Bowers, center Sedrick Van Pran, and defensive backs Malaki Starks and Javon Bullard.

Ohio State, ranked third, followed with three players making the first team, including receiver Emeka Egbuka and linebacker Tommy Eichenberg alongside Marvin Harrison Jr.

Caleb Williams, who secured the AP Player of the Year title last year and went on to win the Heisman Trophy, returns for his second year with USC after transferring from Oklahoma.

Blake Corum, a Heisman contender last year, aims to lead Michigan as the team strives for a third consecutive appearance in the College Football Playoff. Michigan guard Zak Zinter also secured a spot on the first team.

The first team selections were not limited to Georgia and Ohio State, as Big Ten rivals Penn State and Iowa, along with LSU and Washington, also boasted two players each.

With 12 players from the Big Ten and seven from the Southeastern Conference on the first team, these conferences were particularly well-represented. The Pac-12 also made its presence felt with five first-team selections, including the versatile Travis Hunter from Colorado.
