Suzanne Somers, celebrated for her iconic roles in “Three’s Company” and “Step by Step,” has left us. The actress peacefully passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 76, as confirmed by PEOPLE.

Suzanne Somers’ long-time publicist, R. Couri Hay, shared a statement on behalf of the actress’ family, stating, “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.” She was surrounded by her devoted husband, Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family. The family had initially gathered to celebrate her 77th birthday on October 16th but will now honor her extraordinary life. They express their gratitude to her millions of fans and followers who cherished her deeply.

According to Hay, a private family burial will take place this week, with a memorial scheduled for November.
