It is only Summer League, but Victor Wembanyama was not great in his NBA debut on Friday night.

In front of a sold out Las Vegas crowd, the 7-foot-5 international star looked a tad nervous throughout the game.

He finished with nine points on 2-of-13 shooting, eight rebounds, three assists, and five blocks.

There were definite flashes of brilliance sprinkled throughout his inconsistent night. It was evident why Wembanyama has garnered all of the surrounding hype.

Nevertheless, a prospect of his calibre is going to receive little leeway as he figures things out. The packed house of 19,000 fans for a meaningless Summer League game showcases that.
