Snoop Dogg (real name Calvin Broadus Jr.) is cutting ties with FaZe Clan as the esports giants face dramatic drops in their stock prices.

Less than a year ago, Snoop first signed on with FaZe as the clan faced a financially challenging 2022.

But he resigned his position on the board of directors “effective immediately” this week, according to a filing from the organization.

In a statement sent to Variety, FaZe explained, “Mr.Broadus’s resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the Company or any of its subsidiaries. Our relationship with Snoop remains positive as we will continue a multi-year collaboration agreement between Snoop and FaZe. The FaZe Holdings Inc. Board of Directors will continue with 9 members.”

Snoop’s departure from FaZe comes during a perilous time for the company as they face the likelihood that they’ll be delisted from NASDAQ.
