PHOTOS and VIDEO Released: ‘Will and Grace’ Star and Queer Icon Leslie Jordon Dies in Car Crash in Hollywood

Grim news came out of Hollywood this week after police confirmed that “Will and Grace” star and queer icon Leslie Jordan was killed in a car crash at the age of 67.

Aside from his role in “Will and Grace,” Jordan is also known for “American Horror Story” and his uplifting pandemic Instagram videos, which resonated with people feeling isolated and sad.

Jordan, who earned an Emmy in 2006, died Monday.

Jordan was behind the wheel of a BMW when he crashed into the side of a building at Cahuenga Blvd and Romaine Street at 9:30 AM.

Los Angeles Police Department Officer Lizeth Lomeli confirmed that Jordan was declared dead at the scene.

While he was dead at the scene, the manner of his death is still somewhat of a mystery. It was not immediately clear whether Jordan was killed in the crash or whether he suffered a medical emergency first that led to the crash.

But the state of the vehicle suggested that he may have lost control before slamming into the building, according to law enforcement officers.

The site quickly became a memorial, with lilies and chrysanthemums replacing Jordan’s car and people making pilgrimages to the scene of the accident to pay their respects.
