Oregon Derails The Deion Hype Train, Dismantles Colorado 42-6

The Colorado Buffaloes and head coach Deion Sanders have been one of the best stories in sports over the past few weeks, but they received a rude awakening on Saturday afternoon.

In front of a raucous home crowd, the 10th-ranked Oregon Ducks dismantled the upstart Buffaloes by a score of 42-6.

It was lopsided from the get go with Oregon scoring a touchdown on the first drive of the game. In fact, the Ducks scored touchdowns on five of their six drives in the first half.

The Buffaloes offense could not get anything going as Oregon outgained them by over 300 yards. Colorado only had 13 first downs in the entire game.

Oregon quarterback Bo Nix put together an impressive stat line in the rout, throwing for 276 yards and three touchdowns.

On the other sideline, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders had a day to forget, throwing for only 159 yards.

The early success of the Buffaloes is a great story, but National Championship contenders they are not.

Unfortunately, it does not get any easier for them next week with fifth-ranked USC coming to town.
