NFTs Bullied Ruthlessly Out of Gaming Circles

The internet can be both a force for good and a force for evil.

And sometimes, the results aren’t so morally evident.

Take, for instance, NFTs in the realm of gaming.

Gamers are known for being elitist, particular, and impatient with developments they find useless or extraneous.

Which means that the clash between gamers and the world of NFTs was inevitable.

A number of major game development companies have lightly proposed the idea of game-related NFTs, but the internet had thoughts. And those thoughts were not so polite.

Ranging from “hell no” to “fuck off with this shit,” users have responded to eat game developer’s attempt to introduce NFTs with disdain and disgust.

As a result, companies like GSC Game World, Team 17 Activision Blizzard and others have abandoned plans to introduce NFTs, at least for now.

That doesn’t mean that there isn’t interest. There may well be, but the vocal critics are drowning out any other support – and bullying NFTs out of the world of gaming.
