NFL’s Washington Commanders Nearing Sale To Josh Harris, Magic Johnson Group

The most controversial owner in North American pro sports may finally relinquish his grasp on the Washington Commanders.

A group led by Wall Street billionaire Josh Harris and all-time NBA great Magic Johnson are nearing a deal to purchase the team from current owner Dan Synder.

The deal is reportedly worth a record $6.05 billion.

Harris, alongside fellow billionaire David Blitzer, already owns the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils through their joint sports management company.

The Washington franchise was once a prestigious part of the NFL tapestry, but since Synder became owner, the team made the playoffs just six times in 24 years.

The deal would have to be approved by three-quarters of NFL ownership, but given Synder’s embattled reign, that should not be an issue.

Rejoice Commanders fans! The bad man is finally leaving!

  • How does Magic Johnson not have a movie about his life! I saw the movie Air and all I thought to my self is how Magic beat HIV and he still doesn’t have a movie.
