Mark Wahlberg Sells Las Vegas Home After Relocation from California

Mark Wahlberg has reportedly sold his Las Vegas home for $16.6 million, as revealed in documents obtained by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The 52-year-old actor had purchased the townhouse in the Summerlin residential community just over a year ago after deciding to move his family from California to Nevada.

Wahlberg acquired the two-story, 7,327 sq. ft. home in August 2022 for $14.5 million, according to the Review-Journal. The property is situated in The Summit Club, a private community that boasts a range of luxury amenities, including a golf course, wellness and recreation programs, tennis courts, and round-the-clock security. Wahlberg had also bought 2.5 acres of land nearby a month before acquiring the home, although it’s unclear if he still owns that parcel.

Back in April, Wahlberg shared with PEOPLE that his family had embraced their new life in Vegas, with his four kids settling in nicely after just six months. The Oscar-nominated actor and his wife, Rhea Durham, have four children: Ella, 19, Michael, 16, Brendan, 14, and Grace, 13.

In October 2022, Wahlberg announced on The Talk that he and his family had left California for Sin City. He expressed his intentions to advocate for tax credits to develop a state-of-the-art studio in Las Vegas, aiming to create a “Hollywood 2.0.”

Wahlberg had originally moved to California many years ago to pursue acting but revealed that he had only made a couple of movies during his time there. He emphasized that moving to Las Vegas made more sense for his family to provide his children with a better life and opportunities to pursue their dreams, such as his daughter’s equestrian pursuits, his son’s basketball ambitions, and his younger son’s golfing interests.
