Luxurious Rehab Centers Focused on Crypto Addiction Cost Hundreds of Thousands a Month

Crypto has been through some serious highs and serious lows over the past decade.

And so have its enthusiasts.

Some are even so hooked that they’re dealing with crypto addiction. And to cater to their needs, crypto addiction luxury rehab centers have popped up – because, of course.

Addiction to crypto is treated like addiction to gambling, and those suffering from crypto addiction display six criteria:

  1. Salience: Crypto-trading becomes the most important thing in their life and they are utterly preoccupied by it.
  2. Conflict: Their preoccupation with crypto conflicts with other important things in their life, such as relationships, work or education.
  3. Withdrawal: They experience withdrawal symptoms when they can’t engage with crypto trading.
  4. Mood modification: They use crypto trading to change their mood. I.e. if they’ve had a bad day, they use it to feel better.
  5. Tolerance: Over time, they have to increase how much time a day they spend trading to feel better.
  6. Relapse: If they give up trading, when they do it again they go back into bad habits.

One rehab center which started in Switzerland but now has 10 facilities in its home country, Spain, and the UK, costs start at $192K for a four-week stay. Costs can be as high as $320K over that four-week stay depending on options.  People at The Balance have access to a personal manager, chef, and 70 specialists who include doctors, psychologists and psychotherapists.

And in Asia, The Diamond costs $25K for a 28-day stay. They promise “ultra made to measure” treatment with access to five clinical psychologists, four clinical addiction counselors, one psychiatrist, 24-7 nursing staff, four clinical support staff and eight 5-star Thai hospitality staff members.

And Paracelsus Recovery, in Zurich, Switzerland, costs $100K for a four-week program. Attendees of the program will have access to a private chef and maid, a private client suite within the residence, and a separate suite for a 24-hour live-in therapist.
