A little alligator with a big problem has just been saved with her issue taken care of.

The little female – just over 5 1/2 feet long – has had her mouth taped shut since December after a trapper captured her in an attempt to relocate her, but failed to finish the job.

They were finally able to catch her after several failed attempts, remove the tape and safely relocate her to Gatorama Inc. in Palmdale, Florida.

The little gator’s plight was brought to the public’s attention after a neighborhood resident, Amber Lock, shared photos of her and called the alligator’s state “inhumane.”

Thanks to Lock drawing attention to the story, now the gator has a chance to thrive.
