A federal judge has just given the green light to another civil lawsuit against former President Donald Trump and January 6 rioters for January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.

The newest lawsuit was brought by US Capitol Police officers who say #Trump and others violated both federal and Washington, D.C., laws for conduct related to the riot.

US District Judge Amit Mehta denied Trump’s request to dismiss the lawsuit, pointing to an opinion he wrote last year that rejected claims of immunity Trump raised to try to dismiss other similar lawsuits.

The lawsuit will move forward against several other individuals as well, including members of far-right militia extremist groups like the Oath Keepers, Three Percenters, and the Proud Boys.

However, Mehta dismissed parts of the lawsuit focused on Roger Stone and Ali Alexander.
