The defending World Series champion Houston Astros are the betting favorites to win it all again ahead of MLB’s Opening Day.

The Astros lost their ace in Justin Verlander, but the rest of their championship roster remains relatively unchanged. They also brought in veteran slugger Jose Abreu to add even more offense to their lineup.

They sit atop the World Series betting odds at +600 on most sportsbooks.

After that, a trio of teams make up the next wave of preseason contenders. The New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Atlanta Braves all have odds between +750 and +850 depending on the book.

The New York Mets (+900) and San Diego Padres (+900) hope their big offseasons can bring them to championship glory, while the Toronto Blue Jays (+1200) are looking to break out in a big way.

The Philadelphia Phillies (+1600), Seattle Mariners (+1800), and St. Louis Cardinals (+2000) round out the top ten.
