FACTZ caught up with comedian Heather McDonald and checked in with her about up-and-coming superstar influence Alix Earle.
When asked if she thinks Earle will become the new Kim K – or surpass her – McDonald thoughtfully responded, “I think she’s great.” She added, “Kim Kardashian has built an empire of 20 seasons of TV. So I think to compare yourself to Kim Kardashian is a whole other thing.” McDonald continued, “But I think there’s a whole new generation of influencers that is completely different than what the reality tv of what Paris and Kim were. So I think it’s really incomparable.”
And the landscape of reality TV in 2023? “I think it’s totally different.” She clarified, “Everyone can be successful, and the people that made it on reality tv can find their success in this new social media genre.”
Translation: Alix Earle is a fad.
The fact she is using the Kardashians as a standard is sad.
I think that this was a valid point by Heather, the Kardashians really do have an empire around themselves and I don’t think that’s going anywhere.
Really based point from her, she knows Alix will get big but to compare to someone like Kim Kardashian is really hard to guage.
Great interviewer and questions, I think Alix is getting bigger than she thinks, lets hope we dont dump the spotlight onto someone with unknown history.
