Former NBA All-Star Kemba Walker Agrees To Overseas Contract With AS Monaco

Kemba Walker is Euro-bound as the 12-year NBA veteran has agreed to a one-year deal with AS Monaco.

It is Walker’s first time signing with an international squad.

The four-time NBA All-Star has bounced around the league in recent years, struggling to find a fit due to a plethora of knee ailments. It is unfortunate, because he was a dominant talent when healthy.

Walker led UConn to a stirring national title while he was in college and was one of the best point guards in the Eastern Conference during his time with Charlotte.

He was voted to the All-NBA 3rd Team for the 2018-19 season after averaging 25.6 points and 5.9 assists across 82 games.

Walker is only 33, so perhaps another NBA contract could be on the horizon if he can produce and stay healthy in Monaco.

Last season, Monaco took home the league title for the first time in franchise history.
