Former footballer Lior Assulin met a tragic end when approximately 50 terrorists descended upon the venue, claiming the lives of several civilians, including Assulin. This heartbreaking incident has sent shockwaves throughout the entire footballing community.

On social media, teammates who had the privilege of playing alongside him have poured out messages of support and solidarity for his grieving family and friends.

Hapoel Tel Aviv, the club with which Assulin was associated, expressed profound sorrow. Their official club account simply stated, “Great sadness.”

Israel Hayom media reported that Assulin passed away while celebrating his 43rd birthday at Kibbur Ra’im. Hapoel Tel Aviv later confirmed the grim news, stating, “Great sadness. After many hours in which he was identified as missing, it is now known that the club’s former player, Lior Asulin, was killed by terrorists at a party in Ra’im.”

Eyal Lachman, the coach of the Israeli club Bnei Sakhnin, also expressed his deep sorrow upon learning of Assulin’s passing. He remarked, “A guy with a heart of gold, that was his most outstanding characteristic. They always said that his most outstanding characteristic was to give back, but I saw that the most outstanding characteristic was to give his friends his soul. I heard yesterday that he was missing, the first thought that came to my mind was what a beautiful life he could have had and what a different life he spent at the end. Very sad, all the time he simply suffered.”
