Spanish Formula 1 ace Fernando Alonso recently revealed his latest acquisition, an eco-friendly electric luxury yacht equipped with a unique solar power system. The custom-built 60 Sunreef Power Eco catamaran represents a remarkable collaboration between the racing driver and Sunreef Yachts, allowing him to play an active role in its creation and customization.

Alonso’s active involvement extended to visiting the Sunreef Yachts’ shipyard in Gdansk, Poland, where the luxury catamaran was constructed. His hands-on approach throughout the yacht’s development left him deeply impressed by the vessel’s “amazing technology.”

The catamaran is fitted with electric engines and boasts Sunreef’s in-house developed solar power system, providing a continuous supply of “clean power” that ensures a smooth and eco-friendly yachting experience. In addition to electric propulsion, the yacht features an energy-saving air-conditioning system and a specially designed battery bank.

The vessel’s standout features include a spacious aft cockpit with a swim platform and an aft garage, a full-beam bow terrace, and a generous flybridge, offering a variety of spaces for relaxation and entertainment.

Fernando Alonso, who now joins fellow sports legend Rafael Nadal as both a Sunreef ambassador and yacht owner, has already enjoyed a memorable yachting holiday aboard his new acquisition with friends and family.
