Elon Musk Wants Businesses to Pay $1K a Month to Stay Verified on Twitter

If you thought $8 a month for Twitter verification was a big ask, at least you’re not a business.

Because Elon Musk reportedly wants to charge businesses $1,000 a month to keep their verified checks on Twitter.

And each affiliated sub-account would cost $50 a month.

Social media consultant Matt Navarra tweeted details about the plan. Tech news outlet The Information confirmed Navarra’s post, saying that the pricing “is being finalized and could still change.”

Musk has said that within the next few months, all legacy verified checkmarks will be discontinued so that only paying users can retain their checks. The rumored $1K pricing is part of a new Twitter Blue for Business service.
