The Denver Nuggets are NBA Champions for the first time ever!

A 94-89 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the NBA Finals gave the franchise their first taste of championship glory.

Serbian superstar Nikola Jokic put up 28 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists in the crowning win while four other Nuggets chipped in double-digit points.

The Mile High City has been a part of the NBA since 1976, but the Nuggets had never appeared in the Finals prior to this season.
