It’s a big UFC fight weekend at the Garden in New York City, and FACTZ speaks exclusively with Dana White to get the low down on specific mandatory topics. Dana covers it all and puts the cherry on top at the end.
We asked Dana about Cain Velasquez, an MMA fighter released on $1 million bail last Wednesday. Velasquez spent 253 days in prison, accused of attempted murder for shooting at a pickup truck of a man accused of sexually assaulting Velasquez’s 4-year-old son.
Dana tells FACTZ, “I have not talked to Cane [Velasquez], I talked to his wife before he got out, but I haven’t talked to him. She was very emotional, and I am happy for them. I think he is home where he should be. He should have been home a long time ago.”
Celebrity-wise, for the fights this weekend, Dana expects the usual suspects but did tell us, “Miles Teller, Jared Leto, [Mike] Tyson, Halle Barry, a ton of [celebs] people are coming.”
He is also announcing tomorrow the show and the network on which his PSL (Power Slap League) will be placed. Dana tells FACTZ that he has been working on this project since 2017.
As far as the next big breakout star in the UFC … “Khamzat Chimaev is a bad boy.”
Oh, and just so you know where Jake Paul stands on the Dana White spectrum of real fighters, he leaves us with, “I don’t give a shit what Jake Paul does.”
