CNN Edits Out Political Jokes During Adam Sandler’s Mark Twain Awards Ceremony

Adam Sandler received the Mark Twain Prize for America that took place in Washington, DC, last week and aired last night on CNN.

The event was filled with many celebrities and friends who all took funny jabs at the star. The one thing missing during the CNN airing of the event was many political jokes. Sources tell FACTZ that CNN purposely edited out many political jokes leaving the network’s opportunity to make fun of themselves.

Dana Carvey did a Trump impression and made jokes about Nany Pelosi, who was in the audience. Chris Rock had jokes on Trump’s arrest that were never aired. David Spade had a joke about the ‘woke police’ saying the one person he can assure you who would not win the Mark Twain award today was Mark Twain.

According to the source, writers and performers were warned before the event that CNN would be “all over everyone’s jokes,” according to the source. The event is usually shown on PBS, but this year the event was shown by CNN to add viewers to the struggling network.

FACTZ was told that CNN was on the fence with Rob Schneider, as the comedian/actor is an outspoken conservative. In the past, the network would try to avoid giving platforms to celebrities like this, but due to his relationship with Sandler, the network was afraid of the outburst of not allowing him to be a part of it.
