We have a series folks!
Matthew Tkachuk tied things up with 2:13 left in regulation and Carter Verhaeghe scored the game winner 4:27 into overtime as the Florida Panthers won a tightly-contested contest on Thursday night.
It is the first time in franchise history that the Panthers have won a Stanley Cup Finals game, but the Vegas Golden Knights still lead the series 2-1.
It looked as though the Golden Knights may take a commanding 3-0 series lead after goals by Mark Stone and Jonathan Marchessault put them in front.
Alas, the Panthers kept their dreams alive with a clutch comeback on home ice. They are now 7-0 in overtime this postseason.
Florida showed a gritty resolve, as big hits seemed to rattle Tkachuk and defenseman Brandon Montour during the game. Both players managed to tough it out and played a key role in the comeback win.
While it is an enthralling victory for Florida, the stakes will be just as high in Game 4 on Saturday night.
