Call of Duty Markets to More Children by Including Messi

Violent video games are still a thing. And now, like the old cigarette ads, they are taking children’s heroes and making them into adult killers.

Congrats to World Cup Champion Leo Messi for joining the war.

CofD sales pitch: “He helped conquer the French in the World Cup – now football ace Lionel Messi is taking on a new enemy in video game, Call of Duty. The PSG star is now a playable character in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, the latest in the first-person shooter series. Messi, 35, joins fellow soccer players Paul Pogba and Paris St Germain teammate, Neymar, by being immortalised in video game form. The “Messi operator bundle” includes his own backpack and a selection of weapons, and is available now for 2,400 COD points. It features eight different items as well as Messi himself.”
