Buc-ees Owner’s Son Arrested for Allegedly Filming Patrons in Store Bathrooms

Buc-ee’s, the renowned convenience store chain in the United States, is facing a major scandal involving the owner’s son, Mitchell Wasek. Wasek, 28, is now confronted with a staggering 28 separate state jail felony charges related to invasive visual recordings. Legal documents reveal that Wasek allegedly recorded at least 13 individuals in compromising situations, including while using the restroom, showering, changing clothes, and even engaging in intimate activities.

Buc-ee’s, celebrated for its colossal store sizes, has become a household name in America. Established in 1982, it boasts 34 stores in Texas and an additional 12 locations across other states. The company reported an impressive $275 million in revenue in 2017, as noted by Forbes.

This unfolding scandal took an even more bizarre turn when Wasek was initially exposed. Observant visitors to the lavish lake house owned by Wasek’s father, Donald, stumbled upon a hidden camera. Among the guests was an individual working in cybersecurity for the Department of Defense, who identified a concealed camera connected to a charging port on the bathroom wall. The group decided to confiscate the camera, leading to the discovery of a micro-card containing numerous videos featuring themselves and other unwitting subjects recorded in bedrooms and bathrooms throughout the lake house.

Following this unsettling revelation, a police report was promptly filed with the Dallas Police Department, leading to the issuance of a warrant to examine the camera’s content. Subsequently, authorities identified at least 13 victims who had been filmed without their consent.

Cameras were purchased on Amazon and allegedly linked to Mitchell Wasek. He has been released from jail, posting a $280,000 bail. Story developing…
