Jaylen Brown got PAID.

The Boston Celtics swingman agreed to a five-year, $304 million contract extension on Tuesday morning. The deal is now the richest in NBA history and it is fully guaranteed.

While Brown is a dynamic player coming off of an All-NBA season, it is a bit shocking to see him get the biggest contract in the history of the league.

The 26-year-old averaged 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists across 67 regular season games last year. He has also performed admirably in the playoffs over the course of his young career.

Nevertheless, Brown has never been in the conversation for a top-five player in the league. For most NBA fans, he may not even be in the top 15.

This deal certainly sets the stage for a wild financial precedent for players like Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo when their current deals come to an end.
