Biden Destroying US Relationship with Saudi Arabia Over Oil Posturing

As the United States continues making international blunders, the country’s relationship with Saudi Arabia is at its worse in decades.

A week ago, the Biden Administration pleaded with the Saudis to increase oil production to keep gas prices low (significantly ahead of the midterms).

When they didn’t make any changes to production, Biden decided that threatening them was the best path forward. He said last week, “There’s going to be some consequences for what they’ve done with Russia. I’m not going to get into what I’d consider and what I have in mind. But there will be – there will be consequences.”

Biden has said he would “reassess” the US alliance with the Saudis over their support for Russia and warned that there would be consequences for OPEC cutting oil production.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s cousin even threatened violence against those who would “challenge” Saudi Arabia, saying, “anybody who challenges the existence of this kingdom, we are all projects of jihad and martyrdom. Anybody that thinks they can threaten us.”
