If your soul is feeling weary of the 5-day-a-week grind, Senator Bernie Sanders sees you.

And he believes it’s time for a switch to a 4-day work week.

Sanders tweeted his support for a shift in the traditional work week, citing this study out of the UK that FACTZ has reported on previously.

The study showed that the four-day workweek caused an increase in productivity and was so successful that most of the companies who participated in the test won’t go back to five days a week.

Sanders tweeted, “With exploding technology and increased worker productivity, it’s time to move toward a four-day work week with no loss of pay. Workers must benefit from technology, not just corporate CEOs.”

The idea is that technology is at a place now to assist most workers in completing their jobs in four days rather than five – and that people should retain the same amount of pay since they’re more productive over the days they are working.
