There was no denying that the Baltimore Orioles had an exciting young core heading into the 2023 season, but most figured they would not be in the running for a Wild Card spot.

Well the Orioles said screw the Wild Card, we’re going to win 100 games, take down the hardest division in baseball, and be the top seed in the American League.

It marks the first time since 2014 that Baltimore has won the AL East and only the second time in the last 25 years.

This was a team that lost 110 games just two years ago! They were +5500 to win the World Series at the start of the season and now they have charged to +700.

They’ve received production from a variety of sources, but catcher Adley Rutschman, third baseman Gunnar Henderson, and outfielder Anthony Santander have predominantly carried the torch.

Top pitching prospect Grayson Rodriguez shook off some early season woes to become a dominant young arm while Kyle Bradish, Dean Kremer, and Kyle Gibson all won at least 12 games.

Baltimore is set up to be a threat for years to come, but their sights are set on continuing to prove people wrong in the postseason.
