Arizona Cardinals Stun Cowboys With Massive Upset Win

The Arizona Cardinals provided one of the most shocking results of the early NFL season with a 28-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday evening.

Arizona was winless coming into the game while the Cowboys were a convincing 2-0, but fortunes changed for both sides after kickoff.

The Cardinals took a 10-0 lead early in the first quarter. They would not trail at any point during the game.

Veteran running back James Conner paced the Cardinals on the ground, posting 98 rushing yards and a touchdown on the day. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs also chipped in 55 yards with his legs and wide receiver Rondale Moore supplied 54 rushing yards and a TD.

The passing attack was efficient, albeit not electric, as Dobbs only threw for 189 yards. Notably, the Cardinals did not turn the ball over once in the contest.

Dallas still gained 416 yards in the loss, with Tony Pollard turning 23 carries into 122 yards. Nevertheless, critical mistakes in the red zone cost them multiple scores.

In terms of betting odds, the Cardinals were a whopping +500 to win the game outright.

Congratulations to Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon on his first career NFL win.
