According to a report from Vox, Meta is reportedly expected to issue another round of layoffs this week.

The outlet cited “several sources working at the company.”

Last month, Meta CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company would be cutting 10,000 jobs in the next few months, highlighting those related to “low priority projects.” It’s all part of a broad restructuring plan for the company, according to Meta.

But is most likely also connected to the billions Zuckerberg sank into creating the metaverse, which has proven to be a disappointing flop.

The 10,000 layoffs are in addition to 11,000 employees laid off in November.

This round is expected to include around 4,000 employees.
