Alex Cooper Launches Alix Earle’s Podcast on ‘The Unwell Network’ for Gen Z

Leading female podcaster on Spotify, Alex Cooper, is venturing into new territory with the unveiling of her Gen Z-focused podcast network, The Unwell Network.

Operating as a subsidiary of Trending, the media company she co-founded with Matt Kaplan this year, The Unwell Network welcomes TikTok personalities Alix Earle and Madeline Argy as hosts for its shows. To lead the charge, Moorea Mongelli, former senior director of operations at Studio71, has been appointed as the president of Unwell.

Mongelli expressed the network’s excitement, stating, “We’ve curated a slate of hosts we know will transform long form content as we know it. Our team is delighted to bring the Gen Z audience content tailored just for them.”

While Alex Cooper’s podcast “Call Her Daddy” will join The Unwell Network, it will remain exclusive to Spotify. However, the upcoming lineup of podcasts under the network won’t be tied to Spotify and will be accessible on various other podcast platforms.

Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, known for its discussions on sex and relationships, has been a Spotify exclusive since 2021. The podcast, consistently ranking as the second-largest on Spotify in the US, follows Cooper’s $60 million deal with the platform. Although a significant deal, it pales in comparison to the estimated $200 million contract Spotify signed with Joe Rogan in 2020. Cooper’s show has frequently gained attention through viral video clips extracted from her interviews.
