AI Chat Helps Bing Score Over 100 Million Active Users

Bing has always been the less impressive cousin of Google search.

It’s one of those search engines that people usually only use if their browser defaults to it and they don’t want to bother to change it.

But that could be changing quickly, after Microsoft teamed up with ChatGPT’s OpenAI to integrate an AI chat into their search engine.

Now, Bing has surpassed the 100 million active users mark – and climbing.

Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi said this week, “We are fully aware we remain a small, low, single digit share player. That said, it feels good to be at the dance!”

It’s hard to know exactly how many daily active users that Google search has, since they don’t provide numbers, but StatCounter data suggests they bring in 90% of market share in the US, while Bing brings in 6 or 7%.
