The Yankees have been burning the candles at both ends, either playing a game or preparing to play a game for six days straight as they prepare to face the Astros Wednesday night.
They’ll take to the field for Games 1 and 2 in Houston Wednesday night to square off against the Astros – who have only played three games in the past two weeks.
Some experts are playing around with possibilities: either the Yankees are on a roll and ready to rumble and the Astros are a little rusty, or the Yankees are worn down and the Astros are rested and full of energy for a fierce game.
The reality probably falls somewhere in the middle.
Baseball state champ Jeremy Frank says of the possibilities:
If the Yankees win, “Man, Houston got totally screwed. Played baseball nearly every day for six months and then only a few games and two weeks. Of course, they were rusty.”
If the Astros win: “Obviously, they won. They got to set up their rotation and chill while the Yankees were battling it out.”
Yankees will sweep. They are on 🔥
Looks like you are wrong.
