For someone in California, today was the start of a whole new life.

A winning lottery ticket for the record-shattering Powerball grand prize was drawn in Altadena, California – which is in Los Angeles County.

That person will walk away with a potential lump sum of $997.6 million.

Although the winner has not yet come forward, the gas station which sold the ticket is celebrating the $1M bonus they received for handing over a winner.

“We want to thank all of our community members that always come that are dedicated to this station,” said station owner Joe Chahayed Jr. at a Tuesday press conference. “They truly believe in luck and they truly believe that some things are just deserved to be.”

The winning numbers are 10-33-41-47-56 and the Powerball was 10. Check your tickets folks, on the way out the door to vote!
