Vegas Golden Knights Goalie Robin Lehner Files for $50M Bankruptcy

Robin Lehner, the goaltender for the Vegas Golden Knights, has just filed for bankruptcy.

Lehner and his wife filed for up to $50 million in bankruptcy, with debt to dozens of creditors.

They filed for bankruptcy on December 30, a few months after a company from Wisconsin sued Lehner for $4M, saying the goalie and his father did not make any payments on a business loan last year.

Lehner and his father, Michael, are listed as principal members on a Nevada business license filing for Solarcode. This limited liability corporation did business in multiple states, including Arizona and Nevada.

Solarcode signed a four-year repayment plan in January 2022 with Eclipse Service, but they missed the first five payments. Eclipse filed a lawsuit in June.

The Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing shows that the couple owes money to fewer than 50 people and companies. Some of those debts include payments for a collection of rare snakes worth $1.2 million.

Lehner is currently in the middle of a five-year, $25M contract with Vegas – but he’s missed the 2022-2023 season due to hip surgery.
