Vegas Elected Official Democrat Robert Telles ARRESTED After Search Warrant Executed in Murder Investigation

Things have just escalated again in the case of murdered Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German. Robert Telles was arrested late Wednesday after police executed a search warrant of his residence while investigating German’s death.

German was founded stabbed to death outside his Vegas home early September 3, and police believe he was killed in an altercation the previous day. German died from multiple stab wounds, and police ruled it a homicide almost immediately.

Surveillance footage showed a person wearing a wide straw hat, but more importantly – a 2007 to 2014 red or maroon GMC Yukon Denali.

Turns out, German’s professional arch enemy – Clark County Democrat and Public Administrator Robert Telles – had just such a vehicle parked in his driveway.

German was instrumental in Telles’ defeat in his last election after releasing investigative reports on impropriety in the workplace, including creating a hostile workplace environment and having an inappropriate relationship in the workplace.

German and Telles’ interactions were tense, including Telles lashing out at German on Twitter, calling his work a “lying smear piece” and saying he thinks German was “mad because I haven’t crawled into a hole and died.”

“The suspect in the homicide that occurred on September 2, 2022, has been taken into custody,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police tweeted shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
