Upsets Abound in First Two Rounds of March Madness, Sweet Sixteen Up Next

March Madness is rolling along into the Sweet Sixteen with a trail of busted brackets in its wake.

No. 1 seed Purdue, as 23-point favorites, suffered arguably the biggest upset in tournament history during the opening round against Fairleigh Dickinson.

Fellow No.1 seed and defending champion Kansas has been sent packing after falling to Arkansas in the Round of 32.

Popular pre-tournament teams like Duke, Marquette, and Baylor have also been knocked out early.

Meanwhile, No. seed 15 Princeton is this year’s Cinderella story after a shocking upset over No. 2 Arizona and a dominant win against No. 7 Missouri to march their way into the Sweet Sixteen.

The remaining No. 1 seeds, Alabama (+350) and Houston (+360), are now heavy favorites to win it all according to betting markets. UCLA (+900) and UConn (+900) check in as the next squads behind them.

The teams now have two days to rest up before the madness continues on Thursday night.
