United States Stay Undefeated At FIBA World Cup With Blowout Win Over Greece

The United States cruised to a 109-81 win over Greece at the FIBA World Cup on Monday morning.

Lakers guard Austin Reaves continued his ascension towards stardom, leading the team with 15 points and six assists off the bench. Anthony Edwards and Jalen Brunson also chipped in 13 points a piece in the rout.

Every player on the US roster scored at least four points in the game.

The US squad, who similarly thrashed New Zealand in their first game, now sit at 2-0 in the group stage. With a game against 33rd-ranked Jordan left on their schedule, they should cruise into the second round with an undefeated record.

The Americans, alongside defending champion Spain, are one of the favorites to win the tournament.

Their North American counterparts in Canada have been one of the early storylines, however, as they have rattled off two sizable wins against quality opponents en route to the best point differential in the tournament.

The second round is sure to bring more intrigue as some of the tournament’s best start to play each other.
