The original story below 6 pm PST – 10/27/22:
As Elon Musk comes takes the reins of the company, Twitter shares are suspended from trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
Musk visited the Twitter headquarters in San Francisco this week while carrying a sink (to “let that sink in”) and updated his Twitter bio to read “Chief Twit.”
He also sent out a letter to Twitter advertisers explaining that his reason for closing the deal was a desire to “help humanity.”
And now, the final sign that the deal is closed, Twitter stocks are on pause.
Twitter shares were up about 1% at $53.94 in early trading Thursday, which is a nearly 65% surge from a four-month low that was marked in July.
It’s official and Twitter world is about to be quite different. Can’t wAit to see the tears.
Twitter will still suck. Watch.
