Twitter Data Breach Could Be One of the Largest Ever Recorded

This week, a Twitter database with over 230 million users’ information was exposed on an online hacker forum.

If the information pans out, it could be one of the most significant data leaks recorded, possibly settling in among the top 15.

CyberNews first broke the news, reporting that the database is around 63GB in size.

The data includes users’ names, e-mail addresses, screen names, number of followers, and the dates accounts were created. Some account info may have included phone numbers.

The leak comes from a hacker group that posted around 400 million users’ information on the same online forum for sale in December.

Elon Musk and Twitter are currently mum on the leak.
