In Tel Aviv, the uncle of twin infants who miraculously endured 14 harrowing hours alone after their parents fell victim to Hamas militants in southern Israel shared the excruciating experience of not being able to reach the vulnerable babies.

“We woke up to what can only be described as hell,” expressed Dvir Rosenfeld, a resident of the Kfar Aza kibbutz, the site of one of the deadliest incidents. This tragedy unfolded when Hamas gunmen infiltrated southern Israel from Gaza in the early hours of October 7.

Taking shelter with his wife and child, Rosenfeld and his family sought refuge, but tragically, his sister, Hadar Berdichevsky, lost her life while attempting to care for her twin sons.
