Turns Out Blended Festival Was Just Fyre Festival Scam 2.0

If you were one of the thousands of people excited about Blended Festival and the promised “music, wine and connection” – well, you’re out of luck.

Because it turns out it was just another Fyre Festival-like scam.

Yesterday, the Blended Festival’s official Instagram posted a notice with the intro, “To valued ticket holders.”

Things that start that way never end well.

“Sean Evans, CEO of My Wine Society (MWS), parent company of Blended Festival INC, has been absent as of October 1st.”

Evans “disabled staff email accounts and left the team with no answers to be found.”

As the sole owner of MWS and Blended Fest, the “sole individual with access to bank accounts, payroll, ticketing and decisions to be made” – and he’s skipped town.

The notice adds, “In his abrupt absence and failure to provide answers, it can only be assumed that the festivals are not moving forward.” Evans sent an email to staff saying, “Blended Fest and MWS will be dissolved and ceasing business activity.”

The staff putting the festivals together are taking action against MWS, Blended Festival INC, and Sean Evans, and they recommend ticketholders screwed out of money to do the same.

Thanks for nothing, Evans.
