Tumblr porn lovers of the world, rejoice.

With Twitter facing upheaval from the unpopular hostile takeover by Elon Musk, Tumblr is looking to snap up users who want a less complicated platform.

Tumblr has announced this week that they are revising content guidance rules and will allow nudity back on the platform after a site-wide ban in 2018 that brought a swift backlash.

A Tumblr staff post reads, “We now welcome a broader range of expression, creativity, and art on Tumblr, including content depicting the human form (yes, that includes the naked human form).”

Although, it would be more accurate to say that the nude form is welcome back – not quite hardcore porn.

“Visual depictions of sexually explicit acts remain off-limits on Tumblr,” but feel free to show off “nudity, mature subject matter, or sexual themes.”

It sounds like they’re splitting hairs. They will eventually give up trying to fuss over the distinction wildly if their peace offering brings enough disenfranchised former Twitter users back to Tumblr.
