The first interview with Elon Musk is very competitive, with all the morning television shows reaching out to the Musk camp for the first interview. But it looks like Tucker Carlson may be in the lead to land it.

Ever since Musk was interested in purchasing Twitter, Carlson has been looking to talk to him. Now, we know about the public back and forth between Twitter and Musk, and with the deal official, this is the biggest interview to get for the television host.

The two hopped on a call last Wednesday while Carlson was on the East Coast and Musk in San Francisco as he was about to make his way into the Twitter offices. The call went well, and Musk announced he would return to Austin after the acquisition. FACTZ is told Carlson plans to fly to Austin to meet Musk for dinner to help set up this huge interview.

Earlier this week, Musk tweeted, “A beautiful thing about Twitter is how it empowers citizen journalism – people are able to disseminate news without an establishment bias.”

So it is exciting that Musk may have his first interview with a media bias platform like Fox News, but Musk admires Tucker Carlson’s take on the news and has many mutual friends.

On the other hand, Carlson has had many massive interviews this past year outside of the usual political scheme, such as his recent ones with Kanye West, Mike Tyson, and Dana White. An interview with Elon Musk would bring considerable ratings to the network and keep the momentum of booking huge guests to the show.
