Usually, the image of an overly congested Los Angeles freeway comes to mind. Or perhaps the unique, steep, twisting roads of San Francisco.

But right now, California roads are looking breathtakingly beautiful – after an exceptionally wet season and a storm that brought both rain and snow to the area.
